Update: 23.6.21 Reply from Rentokil: "We endeavor to identify and reward drivers who show respect to other road users, however, we have taken your feedback onboard and will actively start to review our driver and Highway Code Training." "[Image taken 22.6.21] Duncombe Place, Minster Yard, York. Permeable and emergency route obstructed, cycle lane (bi-directional) blocked by a Rentokil driver late afternoon. (The driver was not in the vehicle.) The vehicle created blind corners with attendant hazards. This is a very well used cycle-ped-wheelchair route. It is constantly in use including by school pupils some on parents' cycles, other riding independently. But all vulnerable and all doing what they ought to be - making their journeys actively. Why do drivers not recognise that bollards do not mean 'blocked off' but 'restricted'? Parking here (as at the other end and nearby locations with selective permeability) is the same as stopping and leaving your vehicle across one arm of a junction or crossroads.
